Checked my brakes after tracking last weekend for another track day coming on Wednesday. 4 piston stock GT calipers and pads

Oh snap...I have a problem. The pads look like wedges. The pistons seem OK. Anyone seen this before?

That happened after one track day? Then I'd say your pad compound is not aggressive enough and you're getting them too hot. The leading edge side of the pad gets much hotter than the trailing side. You'll probably notice the paint or metal is discolored on that end too.

My car with PP Brembos does it as well to a much lesser degree. Still does it after rebuilding the calipers. Once I can see a taper forming I put the pads in "reversed" to even it out.

The leading edge of pads will wear faster than the trailing edge in a caliper with equal sized piston, that's why racing calipers often have staggered piston sizes. That much taper after a single track day suggests that your pad compound is not up to the heat they're seeing and/or more brake cooling is needed.
As mentioned, reversing the pad orientation will extend their lifespan, but you would benefit all around from addressing the heat/pad issues.

Thanks guys. This is after 2 track days, 2 autoX days and 9000 overall miles. I'm going to grab 2 sets of G-Loc pads for street and track use and swap them out accordingly. Do R12s seem the right choice for the fronts on track days?
