I will add my 0.2 cents as Flyhalf. I started with OEM PP1 suspension and drived it for a few seasons. Added Camber Plates+Jacking Rails + Steeda front swaybar and that was enough to dramatically improved lap times to be fair was never able to... (see full post)
I tell you what I did.
Stock then
BMR HANDLING SPRING with ford perf struts and shocks.
Then put a bmr front sway bar and a 350R bar in the rear.
The car will dramatically change.
The cost is 250$ spring and 500$.struts.Also suggesting...
Nope. The Vreds are the fastest tire I have run, they are a treaded 200 TW tire and wear like iron. Just impossible to get these days. Faster than the AR-1 by a full second on a 1.33 second lap at Mosport. And on top of that they work in the...
Did you manage to beat any Vredestein lap times ? I was very impressed by your review of the Vredestein tires and they are reasonably cheaper than AR-1's. Otherwise if they last as much as you describe which I to be fair highly doubt they will be... (see full post)
AR-1 is a hella good value, while they're not the fastest tires I've run on they are pretty good for the money and within a second of the best laps I've done on more expensive tires. It's really important to not exceed the grip window, that's...
Not only that but it help with understeer in our cars. So a good square set up is a must for track driving. If you are on a budget 19x10 with some 285/35/19's should be the golden standard for our cars. If you want fastest lap times possible 305... (see full post)
I only have 1 day on them with around 10-15 laps so far and 500-600 km of road driving for initial heat cycle. Overall the grip is consistent so far. And I improved laps every session during that 1 day. But the car is totally new to me with new... (see full post)
Considering I only drove cheap china semi-slicks till now (Zestino) or OEM PZero's and Hankook K127 on track I can say that this are much better than all 3 options listed. On the track this AR1's had 0.5g more grip than my Zestino 07RS 275/35... (see full post)
Always have them prebedded the price difference is small but it saves a lot of time (who has time to properly bed pads anyway?). I'm sorry that this happened to you but if Danny said that it's fine to run then it's fine to run one of my front... (see full post)
I have the factory deflector plates installed. I'm thinking not having them prebedded was a mistake.Regardless I got a reply from Danny and he said this is an air pocket in the mold that happens from time to time. It looks worse than it is and...
Curious, did you run any brake cooling? I just tried an R10/R8 setup (pre-bedded) and didn't have a problem but there were only 3 hard brake points per lap.
I would give G-Loc a call and I have found over the years to recommend one always get G-Locs or Carbotechs pre-bedded. The Mustang is a heavy car and I suggest customers always tell the folks they are buying pads from to let them know where they...
Bill, thanks for the reply. I have emailed Gloc the same info. If I don't hear anything in a few days I'll try giving them a call.I did not have the pads pre-bedded. The gentleman I spoke to at KNS Brakes said it probably wasn't necessary...
No R10 front experience but I use R12 front pads and I like them.I think the general consensus is that G Loc pads work well, are nice to rotors, but the pads themselves don't last as long as other brands.
