So :
a) you should buy one of them
b) Stuart Fl is a long way from SCal if you are local and don't want to pay shipping charges to get it.Peace brother..
Morning- PM me please if you are ready to buy. The car (standard, non LS version) is coming in end of May, has an assigned VIN of course and there is no ADM whatsoever. Financial issues have restricted me from buying it unfortunately. If a buyer does not go for it here on our Forum the dealer...
In a word: WOW. My initial concern in owning one is whether it is just a heavy HP ride and handling was secondary. Having done about 10 years of SCCA road racing that was key. Guess not....
Would be interesting to see if they set up any track segment timers to see the comparison. E.G- the Boss...
Absolutely have the locked MSRP. Wouldn't buy without it!
I have a 2nd qtr build.
What they are saying is VIN # should be assigned 6 to 8 weeks before the actual build week.
BTW I ordered the Race Red/Black trim/Recaro+Torsen. Will be interesting if options delay the build time at all. I should...
Thanks Vince. Yes my dealer got an allocation of 4 and I was #4 which I assumed was for 2nd quarter but I will check. My order was placed on Feb 7th with a confirmed order number.
I know it does and will vary, but for those of you who do have a VIN for your new Boss, how many days from when your order was entered to actually getting assigned a VIN? It has been 18 days for me and I predict another 10 at least.
May be aware of this but this is what I got back from Mr. John Clor from Ford Performance Group. thanks PJ for the contact info."As you may know, the Automotive Alliance International plant in Flat Rock, MI, is a Ford joint-venture assembly facility that is not open to the public for tours...
Roger that. So another of (many) reasons I ordered my Boss last week here in San Diego. Non LS but with the Recaro/Torsen option.
I asked the dealer if they could hook me up with a factory visit to see it being built and some stage of production. Anyone else inquire on that or know how feasible...
So $55k MSRP or so?
GT350......http://www.motorauthority.com/blog/1055037_2012-shelby-gt350-convertible-images-leaked-ahead-of-chicago-auto-show?obref=Outloud
Valuable info, thanks. A few obvious thoughts (good and bad) come to mind relative to waiting for the 2013:
1) Will the price go up for the 2013?
2) Is the first year of production for the (modern day) Boss be more valuable in the future.
3) And of course the availability of more options (and...
