On a short, fast track like Lightning, 2 seconds is huge. I imagine if the Boss didn't have to tighten his line to pass the Camaro, the difference would have been much larger.

I'm a second quarter guy as well. I'm not expecting to see the car until July so if it gets here any earlier, I'll be surprised.I figure I've got many years to enjoy it so why stress over a few months?
I've always stuck with a CG Lock for the above reasons. I never wanted to go to a full cage on my weekend car and harness bars and harnesses without full rollover protection are a disaster waiting to happen.
I got it to fade once on the Evo X, running 265-wide R888s, running back to back half hour sessions in August heat with no brake cooling guides in place. :P
I wouldn't fret if you have an MSRP car. If you had the displeasure of having to call around to a number of dealerships (Took me 8 different dealerships to find my LS) and find an allocation, you'd quickly find that even finding an open allocation let alone one at MSRP is a rare find.
