The wing requires additional support so the the deck lid is not deformed and the load transfers to the body. The spacers transfer the load between the outer deck and the lid inner deck/skin and the large black panel spreads the load on the inner skin.
Bill, I sold the black Saleen JPS and had previously sold my 2007 Saleen Parnelli Jones Edition as both were supercharged and decided I wanted two things. 1. A normally aspirated motor and; 2. a 6 spd trans. So rather than put more money in the JPS, I decided to sell it and get a 2013 NA GT...
Thank you. I was trying to find out about an ECU mph limiter. However, it would seem that the mph limiter only surfaced on the more advanced "AdvanceTrac Off" mode selection with the 3:55 gearing? When selecting the "Sport Mode", like I did all last year, there was not a mph limiter...
On my 2013 Mustanbg GT 5.0L MT82 6 spd, this year at the track is the first time I have noted a immediate power loss on track while on the full main straight at the Utah UMC (formerly Miller) at almost exactly 6000rpm at about 134mph. All other sections of the track it is a normal acceleration...
Bill: I hope your Garmin helps you as much as it has helped me this last season with my 2103 track Mustang in NASA! I very luckily finished 2nd in season points in NASA Utah T2 . So, the Garmin helped this 81 year racer big time!
I have had two galled nuts on the front of my tracked Mustang. One of which I was able to use a high torque impact gun to finally get it off just a small turn at a time. The 2nd one could Not be removed with any impact gun and instead of snapping the stud off, it spun the stud in the hub...
I have been running a 2006 Saleen S281SC (supercharged) 5spd Tremec 3650 on the track for the last 3 years and as far as I know it was on the opriginal factory clutch at 35,000 miles. No clutch problems at all. In February 2022 switched to a 2013 Mustang GT MT82 6 spd with an aftermarket Exedy...
I sent you a private message, to start a conversation yesterday wherein I said I have the Blowfish transmission bracket for sale and available with little use.zajac
I have run a supercharged Mustang on the track for the last 5 years and what "Stangra" said about cooling and the internal SC intercooler is all true. The key heat/cooling factors are exchanger size, intercooler size, diameter of intercooler lines,, pump size/flow/pressure rates and the big...
Just a general comment about problem I had with oil filter location near the sway bar. My stock front sway bar bracket failed and the sway bar moved to puncture the oil filter for instant smoke and oil loss. Fortunately, it was a small puncture but made a lot smoke on the track. I subsequently...
I think Racelouvers did a little study on the fan shroud affects air flow through the radiator. I modified my stock S197 Mustang fan shroud as noted in the pic which I prefer over the GT500 flaps. I also do very little street driving though. Since my fan is stock with just 6 wider blades...
I have bought both Apex wheels sets and Forgestar wheels sets. The Apex have no option for cutom offsets whereas the Forgestars do allow custom offsets and wheels prices are somewhat similar.
I always take my four track tires in my 2006 mustang. No cage but a harness bar. The tires/wheels are 315/30/18 Hoosiers (wider). 2 in the trunk but have to remove trunk latch loop, one in the back with rear seat delete and one where passenger seat goes. I still get four in with the passenger...
