Got some decent weather finally to get the car out for a break-in cruise on the motor. Hot oil pressure at idle is 25psi

Snug but it looks like Kooks clear the pan. Being a primary tube it looks like they clear the pan as long as thermal expansion wouldn't result in contact.
thanks. @JeffV8 had to clearance his pan for kooks headers so manufacturing variance seems to be the determinant for kooks fitting or not.
The M-6675-M52S kit comes with a brand new one, which is the same BR3Z-6710-A part number that was used in the GT and Boss 5.0 S197s (later used on the Coyote S550s until they went to the plastic oil pan and brought back for use with the S550 GT500). So if you have a customized oil-scraper type, you can carry it over without issue, or if you have a stock one just throw in the new fresh one that comes with the package. We can use our oem one, right?
No but the oil level sender which is absolutely useless could be swapped for a gauge sender adapter. I don't know the thread size off hand but I think its M16 thread.Does this oil pan have an existing port to install an oil temp sender?
I like that option. As long as it doesn’t cause lights on the dash but I assume it would. No but the oil level sender which is absolutely useless could be swapped for a gauge sender adapter. I don't know the thread size off hand but I think its M16 thread.
No it doesn't, mine hasn't been connected in 3 years. It does nothing. No lights, no DTC, nothing.I like that option. As long as it doesn’t cause lights on the dash but I assume it would.
Good to know. I’ll go that route then. Thanks SteveNo it doesn't, mine hasn't been connected in 3 years. It does nothing. No lights, no DTC, nothing.
Great. You wouldn’t happen to know the adapter you bought do you? I know it’s been some timeYes I have my oil temp probe in an adapter in the oil level sensor hole in my gt500 pan.
