That soup looks very inviting and warming, especially on this snowy, frigid day we are having here in the northeast this Sunday!!!!!!!
It's very addictive! I just finished off 3 bowls / quart+ ! Ha. After running the snow blower for an hour it definitely warmed the belly. Nap time and snow blowing round 2 in a couple hours.

Meat tip. With the snow in the north east many people have not visited the grocery stores in a few days. Many stocked up before. Look for meat clearance! I just picked up about 7 pounds of sirloin tip roasts for $5.50 a pound. You can't get decent ground meat for that price theses days. For me the 31st is the next sell buy date on the next wave if meat. I'll be there early Sunday for maybe another stock up.

1/2 when went in the crockpot with a bunch on my fall picked mitake mushrooms and half sliced in 1 inch+ steaks in the freezer. I'll make up some taters or noddles around supper time.

Crockpot - qt beef broth, pack of onion soup mix, pack of brown gravy mix all wisked together, 1 onion, bunch of shroomz, meat, dash pepper and garlic powder. Low and slow all day.

Done. One big problem. Fall off of a fork. Have to eat with a spoon.20260129_173909.jpg

Heading to camp for a couple days and really don't what to cook. Here's my new kind of invented recipe. Got the idea from a chicken breast recipe that I saw.

3 lbs 97% lean ground beef, 1 chopped onion, 1 pack of onion soup mix, 3/4 stick butter ( that's what I grabbed. I would just throw a whole stick in.) , ground pepper, couple heaping TBS of "jarlic" , good dash of ranch powder and 16 oz jar of pepperoncini peppers destemed and sliced plus the juice. All in the crockpot and good to go. All I have to do is bowl up, pull some out when I want, nuke and on some good buns with provolone.

I was nervous because it was a new creation but am super surprised. This stuff is fantastic!

This started yesterday. Had a whole bird. Made chicken stock. Removed the meat and placed the skin and bones back in the stock to intensify the flavors.

Crockpot creamy chicken enchilada soup today…with three pints of stock remaining.
