So i called HMS motorsports about a pro fit harness for 24 dark horse. Not approved and mfg trying to end them due to liability. Was gonna get one but the paperwork etc not submitted by schroth. Interesting I’ll go for a harness bar instead i guess. Anyone use one anyways?

A harness bar and 5-6 point harnesses which hold you in place Without a roll bar is something too think about. With the standard 3 point a car manufacturer installs, you have the ability to move out of the way of a collapsing roof in a roll over wreck. With a 5-6 point harness, you are held in place. If the roof comes down, you are held in place and possibly crushed by the roof. Suggest looking at a 4 point roll bar system. The harness bar eliminate the possible of safely using the back seat. A steel bar across the area where kids would be seated pretty much eliminate the use of the back seats.

No use of back seat so that’s no an issue. Cage an even better option. I “heard” the 550 pro fit works just fine in the 650. Until i get a bar or cage the profit looks pretty nice. The back seats in these tings are useless anyways

I have a set of these but don’t have an S650 to test them on. The 2015-17 may have a different rear seat buckle which 2018+ have to switch in to use these.

Thanks. I still think by reading that i’ll need the 2018 up harness. Yours is a 2017 down correct?

Yes, mine are 2015-2017. I suspect schroth simply changed the male end to match the 2018+ female seat belt receiver. Before there was a 2018+ version, 2018+ folks were just buying the 2015-2017 female receiver. There's just one nut holding it on and you can actually run both receivers at the same time.

The female receiver seems to have changed from a type C to a type D from 2017 to 2018.
  • Type C Receiver: Designed for a tongue width of roughly 21mm to 26mm, often noted for fitting a "shorter" or specific style of tongue.
  • Type D Receiver: Designed for a broader range of tongue widths, generally accommodating tongues ranging from 26mm up to 35mm.

Looks like these autoX bookfacers are talking about this same topic here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/914055306262103/posts/1150547645946200/
