I’ve got a 2012 boss 302 Mustang. I started doing Track days last year. It’s gonna be kind of a fun hobby for now. I plan to do 6-8 events a year. I recently installed a Sparco Evo seat to keep me in place so I can feel better connected to the road. And I ordered a Schroth quick fit Pro. But only after the fact came to realize that they are not designed to be used fixed back seats for safety reasons. I emailed Schroth directly and was told that it did not pass the crash test. And the seat cracked after only one test from the pressure of the straps going through the seat holes. So for now, I feel like I’m at an impasse. They recommended the Rallye 3 harness. My goal is to be held firmly in place in my seat so I can focus on driving as much as possible, and obviously safety is Paramount. I’d seriously consider installing a harness bar and a proper five or six point harness., but my predicament is that I want my daughters to also still be able to ride safely in the backseat for street driving and road trips. I’m hoping you pros can offer me some guidance on how I can.” have it both ways.” for a lack of better terminology.. Any recommendations and guidance would be great to be appreciated. Thank you.

If your Boss has the Recaro seat option, I would consider going back to those and running them with the schroth quick fit and corresponding neck restraint. This is what I do and it’s a great middle of the road option for a street/track “tweener” car, where you still want daily driver functionality.

My boss does have the recaro seats. And I thought of that option in hindsight, but I’ve already purchased and brought the racing seat home. And I do want more lateral support than my factory seats have to offer..

Not ideal but an option that would work, and not going to say it would be cheap depending on who you know.
Do your rear seats fold down? I'm Australian and don't get to see many earlier car than 2015 when they finally made it here.
If you were to have a harness bar that mounted in the boot, i think the translation is trunk, area as high as possible between the rear wheel arches.
It would allow you to drop the seat back and attach the shoulder straps for track days and unclip them and put the seat back up and back to normal seating.
The reason i say its not ideal as the shoulder straps would end up being rather long which in the event of an accident gives more length for elongation.
Its the only option i can see that keeps your rear seat use without crushing your spine. Have seen people mount their shoulder straps to the lap belt attachment point in the rear seats. In an impact as you move forward the shoulder straps have to pull downwards due to the geometry, hence spine compression. Don't do that.
