Thank you for sharing all this. I am having a similar blue smoke issue. Granted it's on an RPG motor, I have the same symptoms, massive amounts of oil in the catch can, and by lap 4 I was basically done due to how full they were. In my case, it's drivers side.
Anyways, thanks for sharing all this info, I think I confirmed what I was thinking was happening. On to GT500 valve covers, and maybe a larger diameter PCV opening.
