Get a fiberglass or CF hood from Chicane23.com ---- amazing how much air they pull through the radiator and how much cooler it helps a s197 run!

Welcome to the FR500S club. See my posts. Sachs will rebuild the coil overs for $400 each.

I haven’t had any trouble with engine overheating. These cars were raced in some hot climate. If you have an overheat issue I would find the source. The new radiator you have on order might be it, certainly could be plugged at this age. Is the radiator hot across all the surface? Nothing wrong with a different hood if you like but I would find the problem first.

Since you have all 3 generations of the modern mustangs, which one is your favorite? Congrats on the new car

@mostloved Thank you, I really liked the power of the S550 but did not like how much it weighed. I really like the handling of the fr500s but a little under powered. My 2011 S197 has the power but still in the process of upgrading the suspension. I think the fr500s has the most potential and I need a lot more seat time to get faster. It drives differently than the S550 with the stick axle but once I get it track ready, I think I will have a bunch of fun for a mature driver :) .
