Lap Timers - What's the New Hotness?

Last weekend I finally got back on the rack after 14yrs off. And made the switch from Superbikes to cars. I'm super stoked! I wasn't sure what to expect with all that time off and doubling the amount of whels, but I still "got it". So what now? Get better. So I need a lap timer. Back in my day you had a little box you would Velcro to the dash and a sensor that would point at the flag tower where the laser was mounted. Small, cheap, easy, simple. Now you have stuff with cameras and direct access to Elon's bathroom. Too many choices. Too much stuff.

What is the hot simple set up? I'm thinking something like I used to use but now I'm guessing they're GPS. Simple is the key here. I would like to put it on/ take it off really easy and I don't care to have any more data than my laptimes.

What do you think guys?:idontknow:

Anyone running RaceCapture? Was considering that vs. the Solo 2 DL.

Ideally I'd like a lap timer that would also pull relevant parameters from the CANBUS like steering wheel angle, brake pressure, throttle %, and RPM.

I'm looking to add Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, and Water Pressure gauges. Would like to feed those to the logger as well.

Yea, I have been using it for over 4 years. I had the Race Capture Track. I am looking at getting the Pro next. It was reliable for me loved the flexibility of screens and customization.

I like how they constantly continue to make updates and offer new features
