When Removing The Stock Seat Belts What Do You Do About The "Dinger"?

What's the trick to make it not ding? I haven't put the new belts in but I want to be prepared for when I do (which will probably be this week).

So on my car I have latched my stock seatbelt behind my seat and also left it unlatched. No chimes that I can remember just dash lights.
I just read through that thread and I think I came up with the same thing as you. Put race seat and belts in for track day. Plug/ insert street seat belt behind the race seat so the car thinks I'm in the seat with the belt latched. Reverse procedure at the end of the track day when the stock comfy seat goes back in. Is that what you're doing?

The insert worked with my stock seat with harnesses. When I unplugged and removed the stock seat for the race seat, the inner lap belt receptacle and it's wiring went with it. No dings from the car, just an airbag/restraint light

I mean, I just turn the reminder off following the procedure. Once disabled it doesn't come back on. You don't have to mess around with a seatbelt plug, and I don't consider a reminder chime to be some sort of life saving safety device. Just don't drive without buckling your seat belt.

So you removed the female (right hand) seat latch with the seat assembly and you don't get any dinging?
Mine is an S650. I’ve removed all factory seats and belts. I get a popup when I first start the car with a question mark on seat belt status, but after pressing “OK” I get no other warnings aside from the airbag light. No dinging at startup or when driving.
