Sorry to hear about the demise of your engine. You'll find plenty of technical & moral support here for a Coyote swap.

Lots of good tips on building (a couple) Coyotes (skip past the initial 4.6 w/ blower posts) by @Fabman

You might want to grab these for the build (no connections) --

The oil pan would definitely work, not sure what exact engine I’ll get yet, I have messaged a couple sellers that have Boss intakes.

I built and swapped a Coyote into my ‘77 F150, I’m excited and bummed at the same time.

Engine found, and it's local.
It's a 2014 with 80k miles, fully dressed for $6k out the door.

Now to start collecting the rest of the parts, get the harness and ECU PATS deleted, biggest thing is the power steering, I've been wanting the Boss 302R rack, so I'll have to get one of those. I'll also need a new flywheel, the engine is just the beginning...

Picked the engine up today, couple surprises I wasn’t expecting but happy to have, cold air intake and long tube headers.

The engine is complete, I ordered a Make it Modular harness, a Boss 302R rack, and new RAM flywheel. If everything arrives in time I might be able to make the next track day, October 2nd, which happens to be my birthday haha.

Parts are trickling in, the intake came today, the Boss 302R rack will be here tomorrow, transmission adapter harness and oil pan Monday, flywheel Tuesday, after that it should be ready to drop in. At that point I’ll be waiting for the Make it Modular harness and ECU reflash.
Plan to get the 4.6 out tomorrow and get the engine bay pressure washed to get rid of all the oil.

Ultimate goal is have it ready a week before the next track day, which happens to be on my birthday, the 2nd of October.

Engine in the bay temporarily to mock up cooling and oil lines, make sure I have everything I need. I’ll need a different strut brace, the Steeda won’t clear the intake even with the engine lowered 3/4”.

Is there a strut brace that will clear that intake manifold?

Is that manifold higher than the blower? In this video, there is a strut brace installed with a blower, at about 2 minutes in:

Yeah this intake is about 1.5” taller than the blower was.
There is a Boss version of strut brace that will clear, it’s a pricey SOB, about $300.

Other versions seem to be questionable, mixed reviews on the web.

New flywheel came today, realized I don’t have loctite, so I’ll have to get some tomorrow, then I can mate the transmission and engine.
I did mount the new oil pan and check out that nice rack!

I need to clean up the bay and then it’ll be ready to get the new engine permanently. I did figure out the lower radiator hose and the oil cooler lines, radiator ducting is still a work in progress.

Going to be a busy weekend working on the car, harness and ECU shipping today, so I have a lot to do before then.
Plan is to have everything finished so when it gets here I can plug it in and fire it up.

Engine and trans are in the car permanently, the headers were a royal PIA.
The 4.6 X pipe fits the headers, just back about 6” so I’ll trim the tailpipes.

Radiator ducting is in and so is the radiator, condenser and oil cooler.

Still a bunch to do…

Well I’ve gone as far as I can until I get the harness and ECU.

Only functional thing I need to do is replace the pedal with the 2014 pedal, I’ll do that when I get the harness.

After that it should be ready to fire up.
I with have to tap my fan override into the.new harness as well, a couple other small things that are apparently 05 specific splices.

I’m stoked, can’t wait to fire it up!

No pics today, but the harness and ECU came today and it’s alive!
my oil cooler adapter has a crack so I have to replace that, it will be here Saturday. Wish I could have gotten it tomorrow, then I could hit an autocross Saturday.

Driving it around town a little and it feels so much different, obviously less power but still plenty. I’ll be getting it tuned soon, hopefully before the next track day the first weekend in October.

I can’t wait to see how it feels on the track!

I’ll get some pics and video tomorrow.
