S197 Are Torsen Diffs worth it

Responding to the original question, honestly I think I'd have to say that in my amateur experience the Eaton or Torsen is better but imo it wasn't a seeing the face of God transformational type of difference compared to the stock trutrac. I think I noticed a bigger difference, both in how the car drove and in laptimes, by removing the big rear sway bar to really let the back end stick and put power down. Not saying the Eaton or Torsen isn't worth it, I do think it is better and I did it myself, but just trying to put this mod in perspective, in my experience. Also keep in mind I'm just doing HPDE stuff, probably a bigger advantage with racing or time trials.

I’m kind of half on the look out for a sway bar from a convertible because I hear they are smaller. Sway bar is something I can change easily later on where I’m planning on the hearing change so I wanted to do it all at the same time if that makes sense

I think the aftermarket Dorman sway bars are 18mm which is what everyone seems to like. I don't know the correct application, but someone on here will. They are also a lot cheaper.

05-09 vert is 18mm, 05-09 coupe 20mm, rockauto has dorman kits with links and bushings for about $100
