Has anyone done a study to determine decibel level of the stock exhaust (@various RPM)?

I'm doing track key and disks on 8/28. I have access to a meter. Was thinking about baselining stock and then measuring dB with disks removed (black and red key).

Just curious if there is any interest in this info or if anyone has seen this?

Always good to see real world data. I'll measure mine too and give feedback.

87 db at Calabogie race track. That is with disc removed at 4000rpm with T-K. ;)

Since neither said what location they measured from, then I guess they can.

Car standing still, sound check guy was standing 5 feet from the car 3/4 back. Ask me to rev the engine to about 1/2 of redline and took the reading. Hope this help. :)

There is a standard for measuring DB from an exhaust on racing circuits in the UK

that is 3/4power and the microphone 45 degrees and 3 feet down from the exhaust pipe.

Its a standard here, so at least thats a start,

mine measure 92db with no plates and trackey
