I always thought Larry Shinoda was the guy behind the Boss.......Thanks for the education........

Although he passed in Jan 24, very appropriate to post it on National Boss Day.

Larry was the designer. Howard was the engineer / nameplate engineer.

In other words, Larry made it look cool, and Howard probably kept telling him it was too expensive to make

If we could all make it to 97... so back in the original, Hilliard Performance Equipment speed shop days, early 1990's, we bought all our Ford Parts and Ford Motorsport parts through Charlie at Danielson Ford in CT. Also a road racer. My Brother and I were down there on Saturday night making a pick-up and Charley had that Green Boss 302 pictured in the article. In one of the bays sat an Original 70 B302, intact, rev limiter, drag pack etc. He offered it to me for $13K....which to a 22-23 year old with no real income was a fortune. I always thought that was the coolest understated color.
