like I said the rep I talked to was confused when he received the first call. He had taken several by the time I talked to him so he knew the issue. He told me the planned fix and that parts were not available but he would try to expedite it since I had a track weekend in less than two weeks. Still have not heard from him.

Sorry you got the problem set. The first thing i did when i got the package at work was open them to see if i had the same problem. Bit harder to solve over the other side of the globe. Breathed a sigh of relief. Kinda amazed the boxes are from the same date.

It has been hit or miss on which covers are in the box when it arrives. You solve it by making a cover. Ford Performance did not do anything but acknowledge the problem. They said their solution was to provide the sensor that fit the hole as a plug when they came back in stock. . I sent my information via email as instructed and still haven't heard back.

It is strange for a company that typically changes part #'s for something as little as changing the shade of paint on the center of rotor to ship an entirely different part and not change the part # or even update the description. I believe that this substitution was completely accidental by Ford. The covers with the extra hole are completely functional. They still look really good. You just have to plug the extra hole. It really wasn't a big deal to cut and shape a piece of flat stock to fashion a block off plate. I know someone towards the beginning of this thread posted a link to a commercially available plug that solves the problem for less than $30. This looks like a good option for those of us that received the alternate part # and need solution that isn't home made.

It looks like they ran a bad batch on Feb. 25th. I just received a pair yesterday from LMR and they have the Raptor R sensor port, packed on the same day.

Ladies, gentlemen and etc., I believe I have found a relatively simple solution.
In my case, the cam covers were already removed when I discovered my new cam covers had this issue. Also, the thought of dealing with FP customer service was stressing me out. So I did some searching and came up with the ICT LSA map plug. Not only is it low-profile, but I was able to order it off amazon with overnight delivery.
I measured the sensor port with my digital micrometer and it came out to 11.98mm while the plug measured 11.96mm. The seal on the plug is too large to fit in the port, so I plan on using a VERY SMALL amount of RTV to ensure a proper seal.
I had to dig out a metric screw to mount the plug as the included hardware doesn’t fit the cam cover.
Obviously this is not the intended use for this product, so utilize this solution at your own risk. I will update with my testing results after the installation is complete.

Please include thread size/pitch in the update if you know it.
I’m 99% sure it’s a standard M5, but I’m gonna hit the hardware store tomorrow to verify and look for a countersunk that sits flush with the plug. Hopefully the coil covers will fit over it.

Standard M5 pitch is .08mm (supposedly they also come in .05, but I’ve never seen one here in the U.S.).
The port looks to be 8-10mm deep, but I can’t get an exact measurement, I’ve gotta eyeball/line-up the bottom of the wall with the bottom of the calipers. I’m gonna go with a 10mm screw. I’ll probably just go with blue threadlocker on the threads.
The screw I’m using now is 15mm long and it ran all the way down without interference.
