I'm Tom and live in Baltimore, MD. I'm a mechanical engineer and enjoy working on cars. In addition to my trackable V6 manual Mustang, I've got a couple early model Corvairs, a '65 LeMans that I'm restoring, and a practical 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora. I like making YouTube videos. My channel is Tom Hughes - YouTube https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC0uQod7gmeXbBwzqLcDJ_ow

Welcome and you say the motor is stock , but pretty sure that orange racing stripe is worth 5 more HP! You will have a good time here and I imagine as a mechanical engineer you will find there are plenty of extremely tech savvy folks on TMO that will help you consider even more mods ,ha!

Ciao a tutti, I am Greg, from Ohio, living/working in Italy since JUN 1996. I am retired USAF. My first ever Mustang was a 2017 GT350 with 18k miles that I bought NOV 19. I traded it JAN 23 for a 2020 GT350 with 4.3k miles. My other toy is a 2001 Ducati 996S that I bought new from Borgo Panigale, the Ducati factory in Bologna Italy. I absolutely love both of my toys…and I find it impossible to drive/ride them without any “spirited driving” on the twisty roads of northeastern Italy at the base of the Dolomite mountain range (and in the mountains).

I'm Mark and I live in San Diego. I have limited experience driving on track, but I am looking to get an S197 Mustang to build as a street legal, HPDE-focused car. I look forward to connecting with other owners in SoCal and visiting our local tracks. I am looking forward to sharing my experience on this forum and getting to know the Mustang community a bit better. I come from mostly JDM cars and this would be my first ever domestic. Hope to see and connect with you guys soon!

Greg,
Dad was a pilot in the Air Force and we spent Summers in Italy every year we were stationed in Germany. We spent almost all our time in Northern Italia so I can understand your love of the area. I look forward to seeing more pics/videos of you and especially if you get to some to the road courses in Italy or even a jog North to the RedBullring! Thanks for posting and it looks like there is a contingent of American Muscle car owners you cruise with?

Holla Holla from La Jolla! I'm usually at most NASA and Speed Ventures events, so if you see a black/white cop truck in the pits, this goofy Conan O'Brien lookalike is chugging energy drinks either roaming the pits or trying to teach people how to not crash. Say hi one of these days or come on out, as the Mustangs are pretty well represented out there.

Hi I'm Marko from Germany but born in Croatia, I'm living in Germany for about 13 years now. I work as a Nurse and have a very good job now. I am car fan who grow up with my brother and his BMW's, with NFS and Granturismo games. I'm still big BMW fan and always wanted an m3, I used to own the BMW m2, but I didn't find so much passion with it and tought it was too small when I looked at it. I sold my m2 and 4 month's after I had no patience and was looking for a car that has some passion was bigger and has good Handling.
I wasn't sure about the Mustang but it looked really good and was much much cheaper, I heard from guys that with good coil's it drives really good. So I found a Mustang GT 2016 for 27.000€ bought KW cs v3 coilovers and I must say it is a fun car, handling pretty good and looks just awesome. Had my first 10 Laps on the Nürburgring Yesterday and I can it is a fun car.

Welcome. I'm curious what settings you used on your KW V3 setup. I just got the Roush version for my '18 and haven't really found any info on what people are doing for settings.

Hi Steve, currently I'm driving it two clicks harder then stock on the front and I set the rear 1 click harder cause the car felt a bit wobbly, I think It doesn't make a lot of sense.
On my next trip to Nordschleife I will try to make an Apointment for the settings and the right height adjustment, there are many KW specialists that have build many fast cars, and I'm sure that some of them will know what they are doing. At least I hope they will.🤞😬😬

Thanks for the reply. That would be really interesting talking to some specialists. Hopefully they can give you some good information.

Hello to all. Please provide feedback on my build thread.

I am, to say the least, new to the road course/tracking a car. I bought a 2019 Mustang GT PP1 over a year ago because I simply feel in love with the look of the car and how it carries itself. The PP1 was just a bonus. I live near a drag strip and have done 6 passes, and did a track attack at the nearest track and was amazed at the handling and power of the car at speed. I felt the car belonged there and I simply enjoyed it way more than 12 seconds of sending it. My priorities are to get seat time and learn how to track a car. Please judge my wheels and tires for the track, they are staggered. I do know that a squared set up is recommended, but I also will be driving on the street more than tracking at the moment. But please let me know your thoughts. Thank you.
