So I was looking under the car after a track day at Sebring and I noticed this oil\grease on top of the exhaust and on the underside of the car. It is behind the boot on the driveshaft and well in front of the differential. It seems to have be thrown from the pinion where it mounts to the driveshaft, except there's no grease or oil there. The driveshaft assembly is completely clean. Then I thought maybe my ring and pinion got into a fight, and this was metal infused diff fluid that found its way out, but when I drained the diff all of the fluid was accounted for and it looked fine. It's also way to thin. Any ideas where this may have come from? Did this manage to come from the driveshaft boot without leaving a trace? Any ideas are welcome.

that 100% looks like a bad rear pinion seal to me. I had a similar issue. My guess is some oil is able to pool on the bottom of the diff and gets flung forward toward the spinning pinion under braking....and that's what is throwing it every where
