It was in the Western suburbs of Chicago. The event was organized by Windy City Miata Club. I brought a small group of Mustangs from our local club.

Dads car started life as a 1967 K code 289 with a 4 speed. Ultimately it ended up with a Bud Moore built 351, as for the picture it is from a SCCA race at Road Atlanta I believe it was 1975.

I fried the edge of my front left before the end of the day (This track is mostly RH turns).
When worn it was very rough at speed under side load...
Had good pressure but maybe not enough camber (-1.8 deg)

Thompson Speedway, 9/9/14
Nasty track for big high HP cars. Very tight turns, off camber all over the place. Pulled a 1:23.1 as a best, first time at the track. John M needs to show me the secret lines !
