S197 Oil Cooler Mounting Ideas / Bracket Pics?

Anyone here running an oil cooler on an S197?

I’m getting ready to install a Mishimoto oil cooler on my 2009 GT Club Spec Mustang build, and I’m looking for ideas on the cleanest mounting location and bracket setup.

I’ve found a few pictures online, and it doesn’t look too complicated to fabricate a couple brackets, but I’d like to see what others have actually done before I start making holes and bending metal.

Main things I’m trying to sort out:
  • best mounting location on an S197
  • airflow without blocking too much radiator/condenser area
  • hose routing that stays away from belts, pulleys, steering, and heat
  • how people are supporting the cooler
  • whether you used rubber isolators/bushings/grommets instead of hard-mounting it
This car is going to see some local tracks and then a cross-country roadtrip, and hopefully Willow Springs / Laguna Seca, so I’m trying to make this reliable, not just good enough for the weekend.

If you’ve got pictures of your S197 oil cooler install, bracket setup, hose routing, or lessons learned, I’d appreciate it.

Thanks!
Jeff
