trackaddict on an iphone 5 vs. gopro

with the right mount for windshield can the software be comparible to the gopro hero? especially since trackaddict can do all the overlays etc., also has anyone used these bluetooth odbc conncectors?

I would love feedback before discussing a 400 gopro purchase ?

Not including the cost of the iPhone, this set up cost me about $140: GoPoint BT1 dongle for the OBDII port, cable, TrackAddict app, and custom windshield mount using a RAM iPhone cradle.
