Stopped by my bud's shop in Pinellas Park, FL. He just finished the 57 Fairlane drop top.
BTW I built the engine in the blue 67, 428 Cobra Jet, the 69 is not a real Shelby. 408 Cleveland, tremec, Detroit Speed.. etc.
The Bronco I welded back together from dust, built the engine in that as well.

Growing up we had a fully restored 1959 retractable that my mom drove... Took us to swimming lessons and out for ice cream.... and a 1957 retractable waiting it's turn in the garage... was planning on driving the 57 in high school.. my parent's weren't, but I was planning on doing it.. it was a highly optioned 57.. power seats and the 312 Thunderbird Interceptor engine with dual 2 barrels... in primer with a red interior... I was going to paint it black with flames... probably should have kept my mouth shut on that part... dad sold the 57 before I got my driver's license...that sucked... so when I was 16.. 3 days before I turned 17 I bought a 1967 Pontiac Firebird convertible... both of the retractables are still around and I see them occasionally at car shows... the Firebird is in my best mans garage completely resto-modded into a beautiful beast... thanks for the holiday memories...
