0ld Ford Automotive Racing Terror
My son, daughter in law, and grandson went to Newton , Iowa for the Iowa Corn 350 and since I do not have any Nascar duds I wore my number 58 Nick Smither team shirt -- seems appropriate with all the Ford logos on it ! Apparently the shirt was a hit because I had folks ask me if I was Nick Smither and my answer was a simple, " No, Nick Smither is a Legendary Driver in the Mustang Challenge Series with IMSA!" I got several " cool shirt " comments and after explaining I was not the famous Nick Smither I decided I probably should wear the shirt to any Pro Race I go to as folks like the design. The event, which was my grandson's first Nascar race looked like a runaway for Ford , but a super disastrous pit stop for Joey Logano completely killed his chances for a win after a solid period of leading the bunch. Ryan Blaney led plenty but issues for him put him way back and he did roar up to the Bronze placing and lo and behold #21 Josh Berry kept chipping away at the competition and nailed down 4th - Steve Espo will be super happy!
PS - Steve I felt like TMO members were at the track as directly in front of me was a couple with #21 hats and shirts and the guy at the end of our row also had a #21 shirt. You better come to the Iowa track in the future as there are plenty of Wood Brother fans in the cornfields of this Midwestern State.
