I plugged in a sct tuner to the obd and brought up gauge details window and it only showed coolent temp and voltage. Track key was done at a dealership about 5 to 6 months ago using the procal 2 tuner with the track key programming loaded on a... (see full post)
If you haven't done it already, I highly recommend also reading the full build threads for FabMan and HoneyBadger. Lots of knowledge nuggets in both, and like this thread, high levels of craftsmanship & engineering...
Flyhalf is right about higher viscosity gear oils not carrying heat away from the gear faces as well as a lower viscosity gear oil. The lower viscosity will flow better creating better heat transfer away from the gear faces. However, if the load... (see full post)
Another notes on the thicker oil, is that a thicker oil yes sustained better higher temperature, but on the other hand being thicker will create more Heat. Also following the thinking of going thicker that modifies slightly the function of the...

Having tracked/autocrossed Spec Miatas, Vipers, various Mustangs, Cayman GTS and a boatload of other vehicles (Hondas, Mazdas, etc. ) I can honestly say the simple modifier on tires is simply , Wider is better!" Sure it is a blanket statement but...
Welcome Fred and SLO is in my wife and my favorite part of California. We especially enjoy the laid back feel of the area and the small towns like Cambria. Perfect spot to go to many cool tracks as you listed and that make SLO even more...
Welcome and a small suggestion would be to view some of the better 200 TWR tires tested at Grassroots Motorsports and Tire Rack and you can improve your times over the Nittos. They are inexpensive, but really are not a competitive tire for well...
Many thanks & totally agree..new Nitto’s came on the car but I’d never buy them. I was so impressed with the Michelin’s on my c6 z06 @ Laguna I’d be hard pressed to choose another street tire but am open to opinions.Current build:
