I stumbled on one of the better Super Bowl halftime shows from S.B. XLI (2007)............How dare they put an ad in the middle of it!!!!! Thank goodness for "skip" icons. R.I.P. .....P.... hit the "watch on youtube" line......... (see full post)
I was tought to do a solid warm up lap or two to get heat into tires. Some seem to go hard right off the bat but yeah you end up with a lot of passes but then you are in the clear and i haven’t had this misfortune yet lol (see full post)
We will have a team heading out to Ponies in the Ozarks if anyone will be out there. This will be mainly our employees who participate in HPDE events and will be tracking their vehicles. Looking forward to seeing some of you out there!
Got bored waiting for people to get around to doing my machining for the front struts. Seriously hard to find someone to do some manual machining that isn't either inundated with work or who actually gets back to you about doing it even though...
I'll own up to doing that also. Trailered the car to the track for the first time with the Mustang. Half a lap is not enough time to get some temp into Cup 2's. Looped it off track in the 2nd of 3 consecutive hairpins at low speed. Every photo...

It's also a matter of the right pressures and suspension. If you are not taking good care of your tire pressures during a track day aka checking in/center/out temperatures and making sure your pressures are not rising to the moon by bleeding them...
Good to hear. And a set cost about half what the trafeos do. I’m gonna try themQuestion is tire rack hear cycle worth it? I did it on this last set of fronts and they look worse than my much older old ones but it could be other factors (see full post)
I ended up with an X-Spec version caus there was one in Australia already, great smooth action but a pain going from 3rd to 2nd on track. Ended up putting a 3 inch extension on it and loved the difference. The springing in the MGW is quite firm...
You will likely use a lower tire pressure than with the PS4s. Stevbd is correct if the weather and pavement are cold, but if the weather is warm ( along with the pavement) there should be little or no difference in warm up. Surprisingly I suggest...
If youre running over stock power, would like to hear about any cooling mods. IC, lid, etc..?
Any issue with IAT's or pulling timing (or even traction control, but that seemed to be with
over a couple hundred WHP increase, IIRC). (see full post)
I'm new-ish to track days and HPDE, with a handful of laps at a couple of tracks. The best way to learn something is when you have to teach others, so I researched it and wrote up a detailed guide a few months ago. It's helped me understand...
Protecting the pinch welds should not be a problem. I tried drilling pinch welds on my 350R and destroyed drill bits, High speed, cobalt....no difference. The pinch welds should hold up just fine. (see full post)
I do. Have done NJMP and Pocono so far. Hitting Watkins Glenn in July, hopefully.Ford is my tuner. Trans tuning is perfect, as far as I can tell.
Haven't needed more power. In fact sometimes hard to put down what it already has.Only things... (see full post)
I am planning on attending again as per usual... hoping to bring more Mustang Car Club of Omaha peoples and their cars this year... will decide which car I am bringing closer to the event... old one needs a lil tlc first...
I do and mine is tuned by Coastal Chassis Dyno out of Tampa. He does remote tunes, you data log and send it to him and if your tune needs updated, he will and then send you a new tune. He just needs to know any performance mods you have done. (see full post)
