Here's why I'm leaning towards the DS. The noise doesn't change with gear changes, it does it in 4th, 5th and sixth. It's the same if the clutch is engaged or not. Purely speed related. I can hear it faintly around 50 by 65 it's in full song... (see full post)
Haven’t installed the shocks yet. Doing one more autocross next weekend before there’s a month break in the calendar. During that break I’m gonna install them and get a proper alignment for the track on the car. I mean I feel the car has a lot of... (see full post)
Just wondering if you have driven the car the way it is currently setup? It often seems folks go a little crazy on getting a bunch of stuff done before they ever get much track time. I would install what you have already, get a good track... (see full post)
The old standard that a 100 lbs of weight reduction is worth a second of time on the track is seldom remembered. I applaud your mods, weight off is such a simple way to gain time and speed.
my first day out with the Bridgestone Potenza RE71RS went great - broke my PB at Hallett and then topped that by a few tenths. Very impressed with them so far! Thanks for the recommendation @Bill Pemberton!

The Speedway Motors Museum has an incredible variety of exhibits, I highly recommend it. Lots of stuff from very early racing & hot-rodding of Model T's, A's, and Ford flatheads, through the the 50's and 60's with Kool Kustoms and classic...

I am registered for the MCA/SAAC event this August at Road Atlanta. I am a SAAC member.I am previously a HSR vintage Champion back when I owned a 1965 Mustang.I am looking forward to the track days as well as the great cars in the Concours.
Get signed up, it's going to be a lot of fun! I've been on iRacing for many years so I know the track layout very well. Hopefully that will help me get acclimated a little quicker than most. Hope to see you out there! (see full post)
The classroom instructor at the CMP driving school last October said Road Atlanta was "a big boy" track. Doing lead/follow as a novice makes me a little nervous. But I've been watching a lot of race footage on Youtube since they announced it...
