To update this, we found out that the sensor was not properly grounded using the sandwich plate. It would ground through the oil when full, but it would provide a much higher resistance (and reading) than it should. Adding a dedicated ground wire... (see full post)
+1 on Adel clamps being the proper solution for clamping the lines. For the contact with the nut, you could wrap the line in a piece of rubber hose (e.g., fuel or vacuum hose). The rubber hose is sacrificial, meaning you need to regularly inspect...
The tradeoffs aren't totally obvious between the various wheel types. As @Ewheels said, forged are stronger than cast or "flow-formed". Think of the difference this way - I've seen a forged wheel that hit something hard in an off-pavement... (see full post)
Well
It all depends on the company.
Apex Wheels is what we all use because are race proven.
Apex wheels Flow formed are sturdy.
If there is a scale from
0 to 10. And 10 is fully forged. Theur Flow formed is 8.
Is about 3-4 lbs heavier than fully...
I'm not sure what there is to discuss. If your budget allows, go forged. They are lighter and more durable. If your budget is tighter, flow formed is a great middle ground.
I suppose on paper, flow formed is more susceptible to damage but that's...
My Dark Horse does something to control oil heading through the cooler, as I get up to 180 pretty easily. I can hit 190 if driving longer distances or higher speeds like on the interstate if the weather is warm.I always assumed it has some... (see full post)
So we're going down this rabbit hole?
Tire width really messes with a lot of other things and IMO generally falls under the file of demon tweeks to try and make something work that really doesn't want to work, or more likely a rule work around...

Side note to JDMac’s orig post, the ‘06-‘13 C6 Z06 & ‘10-13 grand sports had a very effective 6”x22” factory oil cooler mounted right up front in direct airflow & those cars had factory DIC that showed oil temps.Until I zip-tied a 6”x22” cover... (see full post)
Gateway Classic Mustang out of Bourbon, MO will be the instructors. They have been the ones at the last two OIR events as well. It will be a lead/follow for the Novice that have signed up for instruction. This is based on a conversation with... (see full post)
It is an open question on purpose. I'd like to hear some thoughts, and hopefully competing ones, with reasons.Obviously, the price difference is huge. But what else?
I fully agree. You know the track. I am in Advanced as I have raced in the HSR Walter Mitty for 25 years. It's a fast track and some guys can wreck me. I don't have insurance.I am driving a 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350:It's my first time in...
Thank you!I guess my thought was twofold.
(1) Run it at the track with and without the DCS controller to see whether it drops a couple of seconds off of your track time. If so, keep it for sure!
and
(2) If it is an annoyance on the street... (see full post)
I will report back with details on install if I can, and on how the 400lb springs compare to the 250 front. As for DSC install/removal, it sits behind the trunk subwoofer. I’ve replaced my rear taillight so accessing the DSC area takes 15-20...
