My Shelby does this, I think the cheesy automatic trans type fiber synchros do this a lot. What I do is just let the clutch out a little at a time and try to "rock" the car so that some trans fluid splashes back up onto those synchros and you can... (see full post)
I bought my 2012 GT in December 2024. Soon after, I noticed a distinct clunk sound would often occur when getting the car going in 1st gear and when shifting into 2nd and 3rd. Not so distinct at the higher gears. And if I was paying extra...
Hoosiers do not like banked tracks. And by banked I mean 7 degrees or more. They also do not do well with low pressures to build to hot. I find 32-33 hot is fine, but only after going out "cold" at 29 and bleeding them down to 32 from probably... (see full post)
2017, never had a problem. The light does come on at some inopportune times but has no effect apart from being annoying. Have multiple sets of track wheels with no sensors. (see full post)
LOL, yeah, like I said, I don't have your answer, but I thought I would pass along that thread, since it discussed the issue. I take it you have not yet mounted the wheels and tires and tried to put the car in track mode? (see full post)
A few of the guys got out to COTA with the GTD and CFTP GT500 to get some seat time in with the GTD. If you are into HPDE, we will be at more events this year across the country!
Thanks. I bought some dedicated track wheels and tires that are already mounted, without TPMS. I’m wondering if I have to go through the trouble of adding TPMS to them. (see full post)
Far more expert folks here than I but a thought on the OP’s tearing- in my motorcycle road race days if we saw tearing on the edge of the tire like that we would normally attribute it to “cold tear”- too much load into a part of the tire that... (see full post)
