If i say i run 1.2mm toe out, which is a common statement, no one really knows the true value without the other pieces of the puzzle. Where was that 1.2mm measured from. Where if we give and angle, it gives all the information in one package. Its... (see full post)

Hey all, looking at the tires below and if they will fit on the front of a GT350 mounted on Apex 19x11 ET52 wheels with a 25mm spacer. I'm sure they will clear on the rear but not sure about the front. I have run the Pirelli take offs, 315/720...

Not sure of your point. Do you mean that they don't explain the process so that it makes sense? (see full post)

Nothing wrong with being a P car guy. My user name is a hint. What is the link, love a deep dive into someone else's car stuff. (see full post)

Agree, glad they figured something out for Sunday. I'm sure it was tough decisions. I was quite impressed with the shocks and suspension. That was the reason for changing to adjustable rear shocks this year. (see full post)

And this was the part no one seems to talk about when they give you information. (see full post)

BUT then everyone gives a measurement but doesn't give the reference frame. That is the stupid part. Thanks for the links. (see full post)

Thanks for the tips! I will defiantly work on being smoother and practicing early entry and on throttle. What is MiDiv? so short answer is no haha. (see full post)
  • *Also, when I say 'at the rim', it's to differentiate it from 'at the tire center.' If you're really in a pinch, that's how you have to measure it.If you use the angle measurement, then rim size doesn't matter, but you'll sound more 'in the... (see full post)
  • Your brain is right. If I'm talking about a car on a road course, then assume an 18" wheel. On a 19" wheel, add 10% to the measurement. This is a really good kit for measuring toe. It's much better than plates, because you're keeping a... (see full post)

Read this. You can make it exceed most things if your dedicated enough. Even with a junk yard engine. There are a few fast S197s out there and for handling I believe they have Cortex. While they make great stuff, I suggest you ensure they... (see full post)
  • Glad you avoided damage at Bristol. We also did, we have the way high ground there and have learned over 15+ years in lincoln and 10+ in Topeka that you never leave a tent up overnight if you want it back in the AM.Bristol is definitely a test... (see full post)

I agree with this analysis. In the video I watched, the oversteer was 100% driver induced, you got in deep, jerked the wheel then the throttle and it kicks out.No matter the course, you have to brake early, turn early and power early to make... (see full post)

you can always try a 2005-2009 upper control arm or Roush P51 upper arm which will provide less forward bite. JS might even think about a torque arm set up. JS (see full post)

CorteX Watts Link, Rear LCAs, Cambered Rear Axle, and SLA front suspension, in that order, if you have some cash to blow. Suggest pairing that with JRi or Penske dampers readily available now.Get the car onto 11" wide wheels (so you can run... (see full post)

At the rim applies to a string measurement setup -- at the 3:00 and 9:00 points on the rim. I do one good string dial-in, and then I switch to toe plates (Longacre or equivalent). These plates butt up against the tire, and have two slots for two... (see full post)

While you are here, can you give a quick explanation on toe measurement when i t comes to mm as opposed to degrees. Where is it measured at? Noticed you specifically mention "at the rim" above. My brain is saying that is affected by what size rim... (see full post)
  • If you love it and want to keep it- Cortex it- and coolers and wheels/tires. You can make it really fast if you want. Nothing wrong with that and you can smoke plenty of fast cars if you’re a good driver.Taken on its own- the Mach 1 is a... (see full post)
