Because it is not compatible with the syncronizers in the 3160. Mercon LV is the correct fluid for GT350/Bullit/Mach 1 and Dark Horse 3160 transmissions. (see full post)
Why not run Motul DCTF like the other mare mortals out there ? In the 108-115C CHT I wouldn't worry too much I think the highest I have seen on mine was 118C or so CHT. And my oil is dark but fine in the 3000 km changes I do. (see full post)
Good afternoon or whatever it is in your part of the world. As the title states I'm looking for some driveline angle help.
First some background. I acquired my car back in February of this year and since then have been driving it on the street...
Just curious, Is "boosted" vacuum really necessary for proper function of the IMRC system and power brake booster? GT350 and Bullitt Mustangs (sold as manual transmission models only) use manifold vacuum instead of aspirated vacuum for the brake...
Is this a part that required a lot of fabrication to install? Was it custom made? How much effect did this change alone have on your temperatures? (see full post)

I ran most combinations of 16,12,10 front and 8,10,12 rear WR with the 14” 4 puston Brembos. I worked my way up from 10/8 to 16/12 as my driving improved. I found early on that I was out growing the pads as they wore out and just worked my way... (see full post)
I am new to the Track Mustang forum and would love to get opinions on what upgrades I can make for the best possible street setup, but later down the line can be used as a dual purpose for HPDE events. The Bullitt has the following...
Was in range of 108-115 🫣
But i had at 2 weeks ago a benchmark run… power seems still be okay ;)Yes, the Tremec requires Mercon ATF. It’s basically as thin as water, so I change the fluid very frequently. I’ve never tried a different oil. (see full post)
I think the trans confusing stems from you stating you run mercon as your trans fluid. That’s auto trans fluid which i think is strange in a manual. That’s why i was confused. Or do tremecs require auto trans fluid i haven’t changed mine out yet. (see full post)
