Hub3r --- glad to have you here and it looks like you have plenty of horses in your corral, ha. I remember having 2 track cars when I was younger and now that I just run one there are times I miss the ability to switch machines, ha. Fortunately I... (see full post)
Good place to source wheels is with Apexwheels.com or Late Model Restoration ( both site sponsors ) and either way go for a squared set up. Tires are an interesting subject, though they are the best mod to go fast, yet the choices can depend some... (see full post)
I would disagree with that, while using the same curves is esthetically pleasing, I don't think I've ever seen a cage that had the same angles front and back, they usually come into the door cavity on an angle from the front A post bar. I would... (see full post)
I’m running 12:1. My car is tuned for 100 octane as it is track only, but they can tune for 91. The Boss heads have slightly more combustion chamber volume than the stock Gen 1 head so it ends up being slightly less than 12:1 from what I researched. (see full post)
I know that the RTR drift cars have been running kevlar bodies the last few years. May be able to talk to them about skins. They went with kevlar over carbon for the flexibility and repairability after vehicle to vehicle impact. (see full post)

Have you tried using the stock 4 piston Ford brembo front calipers to see how they compare? Might be a cheap and easy solution. Many online complaints of a soft pedal on s197’s using larger volume front calipers. (see full post)
Yeah DH racecars can use 700 to 1000 #/in (100 #/in increments) rear springs in coilover position. In my case the Ohlins 65 mm springs only go as far as 914 lbs in the rear and that's in the divorced spring location. Obviously I could use another... (see full post)
made some progress on my window frame tonight. however, because im a dunce, I scanned two different doors. so I need to re-scan the passenger door tomorrow and then transfer my door card over so I can align the meshes and properly joined these... (see full post)
2007 Shelby GT, came with the stock GT brakes. I have since put on 13" rotors rear with caliper relocation bracket and just now 14" Baer Eradispeed 2 piece plain rotors with caliper relocation bracket. After discussion with the mechanic doing... (see full post)
@honeybadger take my money!! I’ve been running some carbon doors for a while and I’ve been eyeing up making a finish panel for them. I’ve just never gotten around to it. Now some lexan Motorsport windows would be soo good!!!I’ve seen... (see full post)
Ahh the joys of design. Functionality vs Aesthetics vs Manufacturing.
Whatever you end up with be amazing. Have faith in your ability given your track record.
Thanks for bringing us all along for the ride. (see full post)
