What’s easier? I dropped my engine and trans from underneath the car or like you did the normal way lol (see full post)

Right, that question was really open ended and directed towards the more experienced track folk, but I'd add specifically those with Dark Horse track experience (or the same parts). My understanding is that people will swap out GLoc pads for... (see full post)

Yup, the little cap rattles. Shouldn't be gummed up, it's a brand new car. There's no dirt, grease, nor anything else built up around it. Not a huge deal as my catch can/vent will be on mid week. Just added more for the discussion. Just weird... (see full post)

That must have been an earlier engine. In a later post with the Gen 3 short block, he said he hit 508 at the rear wheels in 2022.https://trackmustangsonline.com/threads/suggest-a-manifold-and-throttle-body-combination.21504/post-325545 (see full post)

You are speaking to the wrong guy. The more experienced guys here will chime in. Basically, I am going to learn as I hit the track more and become a better driver that the brakes will no longer hold up to my soon to be gained improved driving... (see full post)

Searched and found it. 478 horsepower to the wheels at only 6,548 rpm. Nice!https://trackmustangsonline.com/threads/suggest-a-manifold-and-throttle-body-combination.21504/post-325470 (see full post)

Well, I still don't think my brand new car is venting. I was installing a catch can like on my red car (above) anyways, but after a few drives this week, I took the plug out of the axle to start fitting up some hoses and when I pulled that plug... (see full post)
  • If your concern is fumes/smell and while extremely low, fluid in the trunk, remove the vent filter from the can and run a -10 hose back out of the trunk. This addresses all those concerns. I had the same thoughts; unwilling to tolerate even the... (see full post)

I'm still wondering what the improvements would be with a different brake pad. Now I probably don't know what I don't know here, and would be happy to try something else if there was a good option, but it's pretty hard for me to find anything to... (see full post)

There is a dude named Thomas Sanchez in Texas that has a Whippled and sprayed 4.6 3V Nemak block running 1200 hp. (see full post)

Rumor is the Nemak 05+ blocks are the technically stronger than the Tekskid due to extra webbing in stress points. As for the original question, after late 04 they were all Nemak I believe, and all the same. (see full post)

Mounted somewhere under that rear window where its a bit safer. Probably has other benefits that the drift guys know of. (see full post)

Craig who will be tuning it said the same last night. He asked if there were exhaust cams and we told him just the intake. He nodded and said all the tuning gains were from playing with the intake anyway. And it is somewhere here on the site... (see full post)

ABS woes continue.Taking a look back during Bristol and Autocross week I was having an issue with the pedal going long during hard braking. I've bled the brakes so many times, I can't believe there is still any air in the system. During one of... (see full post)

Caveat is that it wasn't pouring rain, every track is different, etc. But, we were all impressed with how well the tires did on that day in those conditions. It's been a bit since I've used them on track, though, last time was when my Trofeos ran... (see full post)

1 other thing if I remember correctly front wheel drive Lincoln 4v v8 modular blocks don't work in rear wheel drive cars? Don't remember why or who told me this. Think 2004 blocks are newmark. Strong block. The ford motorsport aluminator block... (see full post)

It isn’t. Slower times, can’t push the car as hard, but it’s pretty incredible how well the car does even with tires 40mm narrower and with that much worse of grip. The internal computer was still showing over 1G of lateral grip.If anything... (see full post)
