GT350 Oil Filter Adapter help

Due to a broken oil line, I had to install the newer canister style, GT350 oil filter adapter from Ford Performance, part M-6881-52CA onto my 2016 GT350 with the spin-on filter.

I installed the kit, making my own adapter for the new oil pressure sensor, but now the gauge reads 20 psi oil pressure, whether the engine is running or not. I thought I got a bad sensor, so I ordered a new one from Ford for a 2018 or newer GT350. Turns out that it's the same sensor as the original one from a 2016. So evidently when you buy the oil fitler adapter kit from Ford, you get a bastardized version with a different sensor than everyone else. I contacted Ford Performance and they gave me yet a different part number that's supposed to be installed in the kit.

Has anyone else has similar issues? Are there any Ford part number gurus that could help?
