12coBoss.
Thanks. The posts above were waaaaay to serious. My goal for the round up is to go, drive, not wreck, meet new folks and have fun. Worrying about times, categories, who did what when......not so much.
Just curious.......how much Camber do you run with those mudders?

Sorry Bill.
No camber on those mudders, but give me all the camber you can get on the track tires. Here to help if you have questions, no expert but have a few laps at this track. There are many ways around this track, just depends on what works for you. I just go into each corner as hard as I can, close my eyes, and hope I make it to the other side and it's worked so far.

Actually it is structured like a track event , not a car show, but I am sure George can put you down as a non trophy entrant and just list your times for your benefit -- sounds reasonable to me? I will check with George , but don't know why not as some HPDEs ( High Performance Driving Events ) are set up like this , as just for folks wanting to have fun, trying to improve on their times , but not in a trophy situation.

Perfect Bill.......works for me.

Let me know what George decides or can do. Looking forward to a fun and safe weekend!

That's great news. I was really hoping to fly out for the event this year but I'll be recuperating from knee surgery. Hopefully I'll make it next year.

Way cool and isn't Nick Smither ( Ford IT Director -retired ) also coming? Folks, you have no idea how cool it is to talk with the guys building our cars and it helps you realize the Blue Oval Boys have a passion not seen in many of the Automotive Manufacturers in the US. Who knows what future info you might find out???????

5 Weeks until the Roundup and SO much to do!

I personally am looking for a new Racing Brake Pad to go to this year. Was pleased with the Pagid pads I had but willing to look at other options. I know there are a lot out there.....but given the track we will be at is why I am asking.

Thank you in advance!

Let's get signed up boys and girls , as this will be epic, we may have as many as 8 Ford Engineers and Executives there and very, very good chance info on the Shelby GT 500. Keep in mind pricing is lower this year and we have three days of track time if you want it??? Time Trials, Full course autocross , instruction , banquet, some other meals, auction, Bacardi Bus rides and more !!!

We may have access to the " King of the Hill " Go kart challenge races also??

Bill - I have my fingers crossed that I will there. Should hear about my engine in a few days. Nice spending time with you at MPH this last weekend and learning new lines while driving the Fox Body :D

John , you need to drop me your email and phone , as I need to drop a little something in the mail to you! I am wondering if I should go the direction you did with Godzilla, as my car is kind of in No Man's Land for weight and hp, though I will definitely be slightly less aggressive with bodywork , ha,ha. You need to post some bigger pictures of the " Beast" on here , as it is one remarkable Monstermustang!!! I took another second and a half off my qualifying times on Sunday and had a solid race, though still got beat by those Vipers and the Lotus -- gee, no surprise there,ha.

Hope the motor gets there , since I know everyone at the Mustang Roundup would love to see the killer build you have done!!?? It was really cool George Anderson let you drive the old ChumpStang when you had motor issues, but the funniest part was the 4 ft. of padding needed to get you high enough in the seat to see over the windshield. Since you are not short, the guy who was driving that Red Fox must have been 6'8" or more, hehe!?

Stay in touch and my email is ;

LOL - "No-way" is correct Bill... assuming I am there. Some good news is the engine turned over last night. Now to find out more details of what caused the lockup.
Regarding your car, I hear your dilemma on being stuck on the fence between classes, and even more problematic is the classing between SCCA and NASA, both of which you want to run. I had a similar dilemma and chose to just do the mods I wanted versus trying to let the class or club determine my decisions. As I am not racing for points or podium, this works, which maybe applies to you as well. With that said, you have a very nicely set-up car today and I would suggest you not make many changes to it. The aero I have requires the added HP to push it, thus probably not what you want to be doing. The one aero recommendation I do have is changing the front splitter. With the proper splitter and most importantly, properly supports, that can improve the much need front down force.
