Does the engine have to come out to change the pan, or can it be done by taking the K frame out?
It's possible due to the location of the wings on the GT500 pan that you could be down a qt. before it would show a full qt down on the Coyote stick. In the process of rebuilding my short block after a ring land failure and decided to pull the trigger on the GT500 oil pan assy since the motors out anyway. I was told that for proper oil level measurement you had to replace the stock tube and stick on a coyote with the 2020 GT500 ones. Anyone know if this is true? I ordered them anyway along with the GT500 pan assy and will be installing next weekend on the Q750. TIA
what I've heard from aftermarket pump manufacturers is that this is the pump to run for road racers.
Yes on 200 TW tires.
I cannot answer your question with 100% accuracy. The kit comes with the pan, pickup tube, and oil pump assy. I installed the entire kit on my gen 2.Nice. But is the GT500 pan only compatible with the GT500 oil pump and/or pick-up tube?
Or can it be installed on a Gen1 or Gen2 as is?
Thanks. But just to clarify, is that:
Yes the g-forces would never get that high using 200TW tires
Or,
Yes, an oil pan upgrade is still worthwhile when using 200TW tires.
Thanks! Ok, now to budget for this kit plus the black series OPGs. And the MM support bar to drop the K-member.its worthwhile on 200TW tires.
