- Background & Plans
- I have owned this car since April of 2018 with 82,000 miles and has been my daily driver/weekend warrior up until now (currently has 148k miles). It has been nothing but reliable and fun to drive and am still impressed with it until this day. Everyone around me has has bmw e36/46/92 m3s and have always told me how they're impressed a fairly stock 3v can keep up with them in the mountains and on track.
Since it's been my daily, I've kept it fairly stock but since the miles are racking up I've been doing some basic maintenance/upgrading the worn out parts (mainly suspension). I just installed the Whiteline front/rear swaybars and end links and next is going to be the FRPP front and rear lower control arms, 3rd link, as well as panhard bar. Also looking to eventually put on some Apex wheels (possibly ec7s or vs5rs), koni yellows, s550 6 piston brembo retrofit, and some light power mods. Since 3v's are not the best at making bigger power even though 280 rwhp seems plenty for road courses, I'd rather focus on handling. Also just picked up a pair of sparco seats that will be going in the car soon. Since I plan on always keeping this car, way down the road I may look into coyote swapping it but I just love the character of the 4.6.
Going up ACH is a joy with this thing. I've taken this thing to a couple track days including Big Willow and Streets of Willow and have been very content with how a 140k+ mile daily driver has been able to do.
