- Background & Plans
- Bought new in 2012 to replace a 2006 Mazdaspeed6. After test driving the Coyote it was all over, was taken in by V8 torque.
I didn't modify outside of consumables until warranty was done with and bank paid off. Started off by "correcting" various perceived flaws to made for a better performing street car. Now older and with a family I decided that doing stupid stuff on the street wasn't for me (and we have a bad enough stereotype as it is).
Tried a drag strip a couple times and found it boring, then got bit by the HPDE bug and am hooked. This is still my "daily" so I still straddle that line of compromise (although I often WfH now so it doesn't get used as much as it did previously). Someday I hope to have a new daily so that I can go full racecar... Someday!
