Trying to build a dependable HPDE track day rat that I can flog for full sessions in the Texas heat.
If it ever gets sorted properly I hope to mod it to go play around at the back of the TT pack.
I picked up this car from my friend and Motorcycle mechanic, who occasionally flips cars. He found this gem with only 45k miles, a banged up front left corner, banged up RR corner, and a Carfax report that reads like a domestic violence affidavit. He's not much of a racer, and he built the foundation straight from the American Muscle catalogue. His original intent was to keep it for himself as a fun street toy but decided he didn't really enjoy the finished product.
I picked it up with the following parts already on it or in the box of extra stuff:
Pedders adjustable Coil-Overs and Camber plates
BMR LCAs
Saleen 4-Piston brakes on 14" 2-piece rotors (Stoptech ST-40 kit)
Whiteline Watts Link
20" Niche rims w/Frt 275s and 305s @ Rear
CAI & Muffler delete.
Been more busy getting the Shop organized, set up, and stocking (continual restocking) of the beer fridge.
I'm happy with it, it drinks nice.
Plans? Make this engine last long enough to get 'All' the other stuff done.
1st off, to get the cooling sorted. (in process... ie. presently disassembled)
2nd make sure oiling is sufficient w/baffled pan or consider dry sump.
3rd, get the trans and diff cooling sorted.
4th, get a proper hauler that will double as the trackside RV & Lounge for trackside weekend overnights.
