Sooo ... at the risk of everyone calling me nuts (my mother is 1st in line btw) ...I'll keep it simple;It's ALL a house of cards. The only question that remains is when will it all come crashing down.
What they have to remember is that they *want* me going to the racetrack. If you take that away, then I'm going to spend my time doing something else. You're not gonna like that something else.

Is there a way to know if the springs and shocks are a good match other then just using them on the car? I’m thinking something in the specs
Tires ( sticky ), wheels, aggressive brake pads, new brake fluid, etc. as noted by others above. The simple things are all you really need when you start and I will add one more item ( camber plate ) , because negative camber up front will help...
