5lb mini sledge, wheel turned towards the outside for a good whack. Thread in the stock nut upside down, with none of the bolt protruding, for more surface area to hit. Get new nuts when you are done.Don't be shy with hammer too...
... is this the 3 valve head spark plug issue? I remember looking, deep, into the extractor solutions when I was thinking of getting a Sport Trac V8. Did you get all 8 out?
.... I saw that. Unfortunately I may be preaching that Sunday, shooting for any other day of the week for this year. I may do Mosport GP track on Apr 29th with DriveTeq. I'm sure I'll see you soon and take some pro tips from an endurance racer. :)
Just finished my install of this kit. Came complete with all new lock nuts required (surprised me as I had ordered some already). Everything installed except knuckle toe bushing. After all that work, I could only stand to wait a day before taking it out - once the snow cleared on the street...
Appreciate this. The traction control still intervened in track mode, though probably less. I know this because I used it for 3/4 sessions and that is when the rear brake temps were the highest. When I took traction and stability control off entirely the rear brakes were much cooler. I...
2021 Mustang PP1 (Brembos).
In this video the car has Pirelli P-Zeros and stock camber. Needs more camber and better tire. Check.I also learned track pads are a must. This track was Shannonville and in the video you can see a lot of shorter braking events, and a poor and inconsistent...
I know... I hear you... but I really do not want to use a spacer with longer studs (11" wheel I assume you mean on the front). We move somewhat frequently and it requires a safety inspection each time, and spacers - my understanding - are not allowed in each Province in Canada.
(255 and 275/40/19 stock)If I chose to go 19"x10" square (285/35/19) the front tires are nearly the same diameter, the rear tires would be 3% less in diameter.
Would this be enough of a change to affect the stability control, the car consistently seeing 3% difference in wheel speed front to...
... I noticed after a track day that I had black smears all over the car. This was at Shannonville... I was talking to a buddy and entirely different tracks (Mosport) he noticed the same thing!Anybody else see this all over the paint?
I've recently had Moog (or equivalent premium aftermarket) parts fail or last far less than I was expecting. Wheel bearing, front sway bar end links, "rebuilt" calipers (not a Moog thing), and a handful of others.I've sworn off - almost entirely - any aftermarket part from Napa or the like...
Wow... this is fantastic, thank you. However, even with the 10" wheels I would do the upgraded hubs/3" ARP studs and open nuts for the front. Thanks for this advice. The 18x10 is an interesting option (thx Apex and yes I recognize the value of your product).
2021 Mustang GT PP1, will hope to do 5+ track days a year. My PP1 wheels came with Pirellis which are need replacement, so I am at a cross roads, and could use advice.
Currently I need to do "something" as my tires need replacement.1) Enjoy driving the car on the street.
2) Don't really...
