  1. Rust from rear shock tower?

So I just turned over 90k miles on my 2014 GT. This is a daily driver, and we've had a ton of salt due to the single digit cold snaps we've had this past year. I haven't had a chance to take it through a car wash in a few weeks either.Anyhow I found all of my stuff soaked the other day and I...
  2. S197 rear LCA Torque Box bolt hole ovaled

I couldn't find non adjustable eibachs, and at nearly stock height, i couldn't justify doubling the cost of the whitelines for adjustable lcas. I will keep you all posted once I get these on. My car should be a pretty good test for street longevity and durability.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A...
  3. S197 rear LCA Torque Box bolt hole ovaled

Thank you. I think I'm going to go with these. You had mentioned earlier that the load was supposed to be borne by the sleeve, not the bolt, and this is one of the few aftermarket solutions that does that without going to a metal joint or BMR style, where a fluted poly bushing rotates around a...
  4. S197 rear LCA Torque Box bolt hole ovaled

I got an appointment to weld in those braces, but I'm going to replace the LCAs too.Thoughts on these Whitelines? They say the bushings are synthetic elastomer...isn't that just a fancy name for polyurethane? The crush tubes are designed to be fixed to the torque box; the bushings rotate...
  5. S197 rear LCA Torque Box bolt hole ovaled

Daily driver indeed. My commute home tonight was 45 minutes of this.
  6. S197 rear LCA Torque Box bolt hole ovaled

Do you have a suggestion for a properly designed LCA for a 20k mile a year daily driver. NVH and longevity are my goals, but I am also not a fan of the oem lcas. No drag racing, lots of twisty roads. I'm at 87k miles now and I'd like to go another 87k at least.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A...
  7. S197 rear LCA Torque Box bolt hole ovaled

Someone owes you a virtual 20 dollars. The J&M bushings are wider than the crush tube by a few mm. I believe they're designed that way so the bushing and crush tube rotates with the arm instead of being fixed to the body like the factory LCAs. I was blinded by the fancy rotoball axle side...
  8. S197 rear LCA Torque Box bolt hole ovaled

    Thanks again folks. Ordering now.
  9. S197 rear LCA Torque Box bolt hole ovaled

Thanks for the quick reply. I was thinking the same. My only concern is that the brace was meant to work in conjunction with the torque box. On the side that is ovaled, the brace will end up bearing almost the entire load. I don't want to end up with a brace that is ovaled or torn as well...
  10. S197 rear LCA Torque Box bolt hole ovaled

2014 Mustang GT, 86,000 miles.About a year ago I started to feel the rear of the car steer under braking. I swapped out my rear LCAs for J&M tubular LCAs with the rotoball rubber/poly bushings. When I went to remove the OEM LCAs driver's side body end bushing crush tube was seized to the lca...
  11. 78k miles, time for front control arms

Thank you very much. I'll get the gt arms.
  12. 78k miles, time for front control arms

Daily driver since delivered, April 2013, including NY winters on studded snows. I have been getting a ton of tramlining and squirming under braking this past year and I think it's time to do my front control arms.Question - I see that there are 2 part numbers for OEM 2014 front control arms...
  13. Boss Parts for sale

Are you in southern CT? I'm in NY and I'm interested in the Boss springs, but only the rears. I already have the fronts on my car.
  14. Sold the Boss. Cleaning out the garage.

Interested in stock front pads and front springs. PM sent.
  15. NY - WTB OEM Boss 302 front springs

Thanks, but I can't go any lower than I am now, and I'm trying to stay in the $35 dollar range. The car is a 40 mile/day commuter GT with LS shocks, struts, and springs (just swapped the rears out for 55D springs, 170lbs vs 191lbs)
