Interesting...I hadn't thought about the engine braking but that does make sense. Yes I believe the TracKey installation guide states that there may be some ping in lower RPMs, but mine occurs towards the top end while climbing up revs. It just makes me nervous pushing it continuously that hard...
All I can think of is the pinging is indication of oil being sucked back into the intake, ending in consumption. And this only occurs with TracKey. The oil separator helps but the pinging is still there.Oil life is 90%. Oil looks clean as well and is dead between min and max.
So now one month and 1000 miles later, I check the oil dipstick...and the level is perfectly okay ???. However, I haven't used the TracKey once this whole time. I do have noticeable engine ping with the TracKey and have already contacted Ford Racing, and they recommended an oil separator. Got...
Update: They couldn't find a trace of an external leak anywhere, and had me do an oil consumption test. They changed my oil/filter & marked my dipstick, filter, and drain plug and told me to report back in 1000 miles. I'll keep you guys posted on what they report back!
I have a 2012 with 46,000 miles. I've had it almost a year and bought it with 26,000 as a CPO from Ford. I've done some research and understand that some oil consumption is considered normal, but I'm having to add roughly a quart every 1500 miles, give or take. I don't track the car, but it is...
Well...I stand corrected. After a couple days of having the JLT catch can on, my pinging with the TrackKey has become almost non existent. A little bit yesterday, but none today! Will keep you guys posted, but seems like it hopefully is a fix!
So just installed the passenger side JLT Oil Separator and went out for a test drive...still pinging not even at full throttle around 4k RPMs and above. I guess next stop is the dealer to further investigate.I've also done a little more digging on here and found that some members have been...
I adjusted all 4 corners to setting 5 a few weeks ago and while it's a little rougher ride, I love it. Is there anything bad/stress to the suspension that will come from this if I leave it this way? I DD my Boss, main reason why I'm asking.
I know I know before I get hit with the everyone's response to the MT-82's reputation. In it's defense, it actually shifts really well if you're not taking it all the way up to 7500 rpms. But once you start pushing it up there, it is extremely hard to shift, and it's almost sometimes like a...
