Not sure what the top speed was, but there was a speed limit at this event (even for the race cars). I passed it occasionally ( ::)) but I also lifted quite a bit before the brake zones because of it.
I first saw it in Road & Track.The 5.0 is most definitely staying around for the GT. But the rumors of fancy shiznit are for the GT350 which, like the GT500, could potentially have a completely different motor.
I actually REALLY like it. But I will reserve my complete judgement for the full uncovering. I doubt I'll be disappointed though. The covering on the hood seems to imply some vents of some sort which is great. I wonder if the white covering on the fender also implies some kind of vent...

The Laguna Seca splitter is 5" at its furthest point also. I just recently made mine. Mine is 5" and tapers down to 2.5" by the wheel wells where it ties into my fender flaps.
