This track is finally opening up to the public! NASA announced Hedge Hollow will be on the schedule for early next year. I've driven by this track a few times in the last couple years and everything I've heard is that it will be private. NASA has negotiated with the owner to get it on the time trial schedule next year. The facility looks top notch and was designed by Wilson Motorsport who has designed multiple high end road courses. I'm right at 19 miles away so I'm fairly certain I'm the closest TMO member. My shop is open if anyone needs to do quick repairs or have some TMO BBQ's!

There are multiple layouts. Here are a couple.

HVR is contemplating joining NASA for this event next year. We were wondering...possibly you know...are they allowing motorhomes or trailers to stay overnight yet? We had previously been told you could only stay the night if you rent one of their condos/garages. Obviously, there aren't enough of those to support an entire NASA event...

On-site camping must be self-contained and powered. No amenities...

Also, there are limited spaces in the actual paddock. I think they are putting us vintage guys in some separate parking area where we have to actually drive down the road adjacent to the track to enter the paddock....

Any feedback or advise for a first timer? SCCA Targa Texas will be there end of this month and I've never been on this track. Full Club Spec Mustang (2008 GT).

SCCA will also do a Time Trial there later in the year. Niterydr, I have not been there yet but all my friends tell me it is a great track with fair runoff and some pretty decent speeds. Most folks have not run there so you will likely find that plenty of your competitors will be new to the track also. 2025 saw more events open up there and 2026 looks even better foretelling a rosy race future in coming years. There are quite a few videos out there along with the one posted by PatientZero, so hopefully those will help you get a feel for the track.

Yes…cover the entire front of your car, and any other protruding surfaces with PPF. Otherwise, they will be sandblasted after the first session.

Well that track is amazing. Unfortunently had a mechanical issue with a driveshaft that cost most of the available track time, but was still able to send some flyers all things considered. I will be back to hit that track on a HPDE or even a time trial weekend; such a great facility! We ran the full I believe, essentially a bunch of high speed and some really tight, what felt like infield, stuff. Ran a 2.41.26 and backed it up with a 2.41.74 per garmin. Top speed was around 120mph in my club spec car, and I had only 1 full lap prior, running a 2.51 on a sighting. This was during the SCCA Targa, so I only got 2 flyers as part of a "combined time" and had to back off enough for safety as I had minimal looks on it and had a 8 hour drive back to texas for the SCCA Time trials and last Targa day still on the schedule.
I feel that with a few more looks and a wheel bearing that wasn't making noise (as well as the fact that we just put together the driveshaft coupler in the pits), there is a 2.38 or better for me there.

Glad you had a good time.

I ran the Track Night with SCCA after you guys ran. That layout was the "Full layout". It is the "slowest" of the layouts that include the back straight.

I got three sessions of 4 laps each for the SCCA event. Fastest lap was a 2:35 but had traffic during all sessions. There was, in my opinion too many cars ok track at once, 33 cars out for the Intermediate class.

Had fun not sure if I will do it again, Track Night, but it was a nice afternoon.

Awesome thanks for the info. If you pulled in and saw a mustang in the air on 4 jackstands, that was me putting the driveshaft "coupler" in the middle back together. There were A LOT of cars coming in for track night, I think they said they had 99? Wow. I do think I can see this car into a 2.3x easily as my co driver sent it to a 2.39 before me, he got 2 extra laps than me and we were within .1-.014 of each other most of the time, if I didn't have a 1 second edge on familiar tracks.
