Are your Nankangs the new Version 2s that have been delayed in the US? There were some available last year and still a few early in 24 until there was an issue with DOT and they were not allowed in. That is supposed to be resolved and new deliveries of the Version 2 should be popping up this month or next. Let us know what you think because I have had good reports from a couple of fast friends , noting they are a big improvement over the first version of the CR-S. The big key is they really respond well to heat cycling and both of the guys I talked to made sure they did that prior to running at the track/autocross. They heat cycled the tires like I did my Bridgerocks, simply by doing it on the street/highway and putting them up for a week or more. Nankang suggests 24/48 hours , but an old buddy who reminds me of BS1 ( he is a tire Guru too ) always adhered to 1-4 weeks of letting the tires sit and I have always tried to follow his recommendations. It is nice to have another choice that seems to be right there with the RE71RS and A052 for autocross, but for track duty they seem to last alot longer than those two. It will be interesting to see if the revised Falken RT660 ( out early in 2025 ) will be another quick choice as they have plenty of sizes to chose from.

I picked these up as a secondary set of inexpensive wheels for the street, and was pleasantly surprised with he quality of construction, weight and balance. The finish on the is extremely robust and well done. Attention has been paid to tool clearance, and standing debris and water. In many ways they rival a set of wheels I had custom cut out of a solid block of 6061 T6. I will probably give these a try on the track. Makes me want to investigate getting a set of the forged wheels.

The car looks great! What size SM-10s did you go with, and what size tires? Many people use the SM-10 with confidence on track!

As these were intended for street duty I went simple and grabbed the 19x10 ET40 and the 19x11 ET52. The tires are Nitto 555G2 305/35 and 285/35

The combination needed barely any weight to balance out and it shows. Drives exceptionally smooth even with the dampers set to kill. The 19" combo in my opinion help.to slow everything down a bit so it is easier to drive on the road. With this combo though I have no lack of confidence letting it eat on some twisty roads.

For track duty I run 18 inch slicks currently 305/660 and 305/685. I have a bit of a motor so taller sidewall in the rear, really helps with getting out of the corner.

I think a 19x11 ET40 would fit the front of my car and make it flush, but my car is not representative of a typical GT. Steeda control arms and subframe, with Stance X3 Coil overs. Should actually push things out I would assume, but does not seem to be the case
 
Mustangs push, all that weight up front is bad. Running a smaller width tire up front exacerbates the push.
The hot setup is 305's square on 11" rims. You need to run a spacer up front, usually about 1", to make that work.
You can get a custom offset wheel for the front, but that eliminates rotating tires front/back to even out wear. You can still rotate side to side. You can run 315s or even 325s on the rear, but all that's going to do is make the push worse.

Depends what you're going to do with it, if you're not going to take it to the road course then this is all moot.
