EC-7 - 18" / 19"
Modern design with reinforced lips and I-beam spokes. The SM-10 spokes were designed to be robust where they need to be, and extra lightweight where they should be. Weight is reduced by CNC machining material out from the sides of each spoke. Available in Profile 2 (medium concavity) for maximum brake clearance and weight savings.
The right solution for every application. Our wheels include details specifically implemented to enhance the Mustang owners' track day and street performance experience. An optimized car setup begins with the right wheel and tire fitment, and without model-specific attention, maximum performance is compromised. These wheels were developed exclusively for S197 and S550 chassis, and will work in either square or staggered applications. Most fitments are direct bolt-on solutions, however certain aggressive square fitments utilizing the 11” wide wheels will require spacers on the front axle for proper inner strut clearance. This not a compromised fitment, it is the only way to outfit an S197 or S550 chassis with the highly desirable true-rotatable 11” square fitment.

No need to change your wheel bolts, center caps, or TPMS sensors. All APEX Mustang wheels were designed from the start to work with OEM 60º tapered hardware, which means both OEM lug nuts and aftermarket stud kits with the proper lug nut seat type will fit perfectly. All of our 5x114.3 Mustang wheels use a 70.5mm center bore, no hubcentric rings or adapters are necessary. All wheels come with gloss black APEX center caps, but you can also snap-in select OEM Ford caps for a more OEM+ look. All APEX wheels accept OEM and aftermarket equivalent TPMS sensors, and any standard-sized metal or rubber valve stem.
If the spokes or barrel of a wheel can’t clear your brakes, the wheel can’t be used at all. Spoke clearance is only half the problem. The barrel construction on a wheel also needs to be big enough to clear the sides of your caliper and rotor. Many aftermarket wheels that have aesthetic compromises in their design may work with smaller stock brakes, or smaller diameter big brake kits, but the larger kits will pose a major problem. The barrel of the SM-10 and EC-7 wheels offer unmatched caliper clearance because wheels shouldn’t limit your choice of aftermarket brake kits, and brake kits shouldn’t force you to run oversized wheels. We 2D modeled most Big Brake Kits available in Solidworks and tweaked the wheel design prior to production in order to fit as many kits as possible. Good news GT350 owners, these 19” wheels not only clear your massive Brembo brakes, the barrel to caliper clearance is quite impressive. 18” wheels clear a variety of aftermarket BBK’s as well as popular factory BBK’s like the S197 14” and 15” GT500 Brembo setups, as well as the S550 Performance Package Brembo kit.
Weight Optimized
We conducted extensive Finite Element Analysis to reinforce high-stress areas and to remove material where it didn’t improve strength. The end result is a flow formed wheel with an ideal balance of strength and weight.
True VIA - JWL & Beyond
Hub Centric - All APEX Mustang wheels with a 5x114.3mm bolt pattern are purpose built featuring a 70.5mm center bore. No centering rings required.
Center Caps - We don't charge extra for caps and we design our Mustang wheels to be interchangeable with select OEM caps for enthusiasts seeking a clean factory look. All wheels come with our gloss Black APEX caps included. We also offer optional gloss red or gloss blue APEX caps.
Hardware - APEX wheels can be used with all OEM mounting hardware, proper aftermarket hardware and wheel spacers.
TPMS - All APEX wheels accept OEM and aftermarket Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors and standard fit valve stems. If your vehicle isn’t equipped with sensors or you choose to bypass them for your track/race car, then select from our metal stems available in multiple finishes.
