Just wanted to share a few updates on the car! Today, I knocked out a battery relocation, which shaved a solid 31.4 pounds off the front left corner.
Also, a few weeks back, I installed a Sparco Evo L seat. This saved 20 lbs from the stock seat. I know a roll bar is highly recommended when running a fixed-back seat, so that’s definitely in the plans for later this year or spring of next year. I will say, the difference from the old seat is night and day, even just on twisty back roads. I can't wait to see how it feels on the track!
For the install, it is fixed-mounted. I originally bought a Sparco slider, but it put me too high and my helmet was hitting the door frame. I ended up using a Planted seat bracket. Overall fitment was great, though I did have to open up one of the holes a little bit to get it perfectly lined up.
I would like to get to a track day in Aug sometime, but might just hold off till Cruise for a Cause at Blackhawk on Sept 30th. Happy 4th everyone! Be safe!
