Hello,

I picked up my 13" Grabber Blue Boss yesterday at 6 pm, with 6 miles on it. Drove it home for a total of 12 miles. Jumped it this morning and went through a tank of gas and the car now has 229 miles. This car is amazing! Any one else put crazy miles only owning a short period of time?

Thanks
Stephen

I did - I was really nervous about running it hard until I hit that 1,000 mile marker... So, I decided to hit it in one week of ownership!

Congratulations on your new Boss Stephen and welcome to the site! I think you will find similar stories to yours on here. This is a great site and there are some very knowledgable owners on here.

Bought car in Dallas at 5 Star Ford in DFW and drove it 990 miles back to Denver, Colorado. Changed the oil and then put it on the track the following weekend with NASA Rocky Mountain at PPIR.
I know Ford says change oil 3,000 miles, but is it better for our motors to change it at 1,000?

My first drive put 550 miles on the car. Drove it home from Los Angeles to the San Francisco Bay Area. Great way to experience the car.

Its really up to you. I recommend you go by the owners manual unless you track it right away you will be fine. I did mine at about 5000 miles then my second at just over 10K.

I'm anal so I change mine every 1000 but in that 1000 miles there is always a track day. I would never take the Boss to 5000 miles before changing the oil unless you drive like a granny :)

No granny driving here. I drive it like I stole it but the oil really doesnt break down that much.If I track it then I change the oil before & right after the track.

I bought mine on a Thursday night on the Maryland side of DC with 26 miles on the odo. Drove to Fairfax VA that night, then to Summit Point WV to work next morning, back to Fairfax to pick up my buddy, and then to Morgantown WV to pick up my '03 SVT Focus that was part of my trade in deal. Buddy followed me back to DC on Saturday to drop off Focus, then back to Fairfax and on to Morgantown. I had my first 1,000 miles before the weekend was over. I went on to put 23,000 miles on my car in the first year because I was living 145 miles from work. I have now moved 6 miles from work, and I miss the long winding roads.

I also changed oil early, at 1,245 miles. I do however go 5-6,000 between changes, including track days. I take a lot of crap on internet forums from "experts" because of this, but it's my money and my car, so ultimately it's my decision.

Wow...I bought my 2013 on 07-12 and it still only has 357 miles. I just can't seem to find a good day to drive it for a long sprint.

I put 200 miles on mine the first night I got it because I was too afraid to go home since the wife told me I was only authorized to get a GT.That is why she is now considered an X. I had bowed down to her years ago when she made me trade in my 93 GT for an Escort wagon because she wanted to quit her job. Not this time baby!

When I picked up my 2013 LS in Jan. I drove it straight home on a slow cruise 600 miles in 8 hrs. It was hard to drive it any faster with the splitter and extras in the car blocking my view.

Took it to the drag strip with 300 and Daytona with 600....I have 3600 now and 5 track days and 2 trips to the drags. Going to Sebring this weekend for 2 more days.

My car has 4500 miles on it and I've owned it since March of 2012...Not my daily driver but I am driving it to Monaco this weekend so I'll tack another 1000 miles on it by next Tuesday. No way I was driving to Monaco through the Alps and not taking the BOSS! I have to represent for all the BOSS owners and show the Euro trash what's up ;)

I purchased my 2013 Boss on a Friday 15 Feb 2013, drove 100 miles from Grand Prairie Ford to Decatur, Tx. On Saturday morning I arrived at Eagle Canyon Race Way with 115 mile. I departed the track with 230 miles and drove another 273 mile home to Bossier City, La. 30 hours of ownership, 503 miles and one track day!
